Hi, I'm Alan. We have been working with cats for many years. Most of the cats in care may never have their own home. They are here because of temperament or behaviour problems; but we love them. Some have on-going health problems. We operate a 'No Kill' policy. We believe, that before euthanasia the following criteria should apply:
1. A cat should be terminally ill.
2. The cat should be in such pain that we cannot relieve.
3. The cat must have no quality of life.
4. Our vet should agree with us on all points and agree to euthanase.
If all these points are met, we would not allow a cat to suffer.
Most of our cats are in care due to on-going problems such as temperament, behavioural and health. We even deal with feral cats. We think that no cat is beyond help.
As well as taking care of the cats, I am tracing my family tree. It's a busy life. Click on the link at the top of the page to view my tree.

With the deepest regret we have to announce the closure of our sanctuary.

This is due to the ever increasing number of cats needing to be rescued AND the escalating cost of care, plus the lack of support for our work. However, the cats still with us will remain with us for as long as is necessary.
